    Abstract:

Takydromus albomaculosus, belonging to the family Lacertidae, is currently known to be distributed only in Guangdong, China. From July to September 2024, three suspected specimens of this species were collected from the Guangxi Daguishan Crocodile National Nature Reserve in Hezhou, Guangxi, China. Morphological comparisons and phylogenetic analyses confirmed that these specimens were T. albomaculosus, representing a new distribution record of this species in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. This discovery enhances our understanding of the reptilian species diversity in Guangxi and provides foundational data for studying the geographical distribution and phylogeny of T. albomaculosus.
