As a new record of bird in China, the White-capped Bunting (Emberiza stewarti), was found by the local birdwatchers and photographers on May 12^nd 2013. One male bird was seen with the Eurasian Linnets (Carduelis cannabina) at the countryside of Biaoertuokeyi town, Wuqia county, nearby Kashi, in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China (39°20'N and 75°05'E), with the elevation of 2 100 m in the northeastern Pamirs.
