    Abstract:

The breeding biology of the Grey-faced Buzzard (Butastur indicus)was studied from 2007 to 2010 at Dongzhai National Nature Reserve of Henan Province. The results indicated that the Grey-faced Buzzard arrived in the study site at the end of February or the beginning of March. They built the nests on big trees and most nests were built on the branch extremely near the trunk. The clutch size was 2.75±0.46 (Mean±SD)(n =8). Eleven of 14 breeding attempts were succeed, the ratio of succeed was 78.57%. This study made the breeding distribution extend to the south of Henan Province from the area in the north of Yellow River.
