Two specimens,identified as Sorex minutus Linnaeus and new to Liaoning,were collected from Xinbin County,Liaoning Province,China. The 2nd upper unicuspid smaller than the 1st and 3rd. The 5th unicuspid is small and about 2 /3 high as the 4th unicuspid. The large lower incisor has three crenulations on its cutting edge. The lower canine is small,only about 2 /3 high as the premolar.
