    Abstract:

    A living snake of Amphiesma bitaeniata was caught from Nanling National Nature Reserve,Guangdong Province in July 2008.It was the first time that this species was found in Guangdong.This new record will provide useful information on morphology and geographical distribution of A.bitaeniata.
