    Abstract:

Skeleton of Cinereous Vulture(Aegypius monachus) was described and measured based on two specimens. Its characteristics are the following: bill is elongated and heavy, with the anterior end curing downward deeply;the prefrontal is free and has a noticeable caudally projecting supraorbital process;the keel is poorly developed;the clavicle is U-shaped with a relatively large coracoid articular pad;the forelimb bone is distinctively longer than that of the hindlimb, and the extensor attachment of metacarpal Ⅰis prominent;the tarsometatarsus is flat anteroposteriorly and bears two less-developed calcaneal ridges.Correlations between morphological characteristics and functional adaptation were discussed.
