Population size of Lyrurus tetrix was surveyed in Saihanba Area in December of 2007.Population density was 3.26 ind./km².Compared with the historical date,population density of L.tetrix showed a downward trend,which was relate to habitats deterioration,frequent human activities and illegal hunting.
