One female specimen of bats, Rhinolophus luctus, was collected in Tangle Cave (28°18'N, 109°39'E,altitude 319 m), Zhaiyang Town, Jishou City, Hunan Province, on 11 Jan., 2007. This was the first record from Hunan Province. We measured the morphological parameters of this specimen, and it was identified as R. l. lanosus.
