    Abstract:

    One living specimen of Oligodon catenata was collected from Guangdong Nankunshan Nature Reserve on 23 June 2007. This is a new record of snake species to Guangdong Province.This new record means that the distribution of O.catenata is likely to show a continuous pattern in China.
