One snake specimen was collected on 22 July 2015 at Chebaling National Nature Reserve, Guangdong Province, China. According to morphological character and the data of Cyt b, it was identified as Lycodon liuchengchaoi which is confirmedly record in Guangdong Province. Specimen is kept at The Museum of Huangshan University (HUM20180001).
