On July 12, 2026, during the passage of Typhoon Bavi, multiple seabird records were obtained at several locations in Zhejiang Province, including Lin’an in Hangzhou, Jinyun in Lishui, and Yuhuan in Taizhou. The species recorded included the Spectacled Tern (Onychoprion lunatus), Common White Tern (Gygis alba), and Black Noddy (Anous minutus) (Figs. 1 and 2). The birds were identified from field observations and photographs based on diagnostic plumage and structural features. Relevant literature, checklists, and public databases were reviewed to verify their previous distribution. The review confirms that all three species represent new records for the avifauna of Zhejiang Province, with O. lunatus representing a new record for China.
