The Aix galericulata often breed in the Northeast China,its usual nest site is in a hole in a tree.A breeding nest of A.galericulata was found in a building in Guilin City,Northeast Guangxi.10 eggs were found,but only 2 were hatched become young birds.It is the first record of the breading nest of A.galericulata in the building,and this species is a new record of breeding bird in Guangxi,South China.
