Seven living specimens of frogs were collected from Haihu Wetland Park on 25 May 2014, which were identified as Pelophylax nigromaculaus. After more than 100 years when Mocquard first recorded it，we collected the specimen for the first time, and this confirmed the distribution of this species in Qinghai Province. This discovery provided usefully distributional information for P. nigromaculatus.
